Geneva, Reuters. The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday that cases of corona infection in South Asia, including India, are doubling in three weeks, but the situation is not yet explosive. WHO’s top expert on emergency cases, Dr Mike Ryan, said that South Asia does not have an explosive situation not only in India but also in densely populated Bangladesh and Pakistan. However, he also said that there is always a danger of this happening.

The World Health Organization (WHO) also said that corona cases have increased in some countries while the lockdown was relaxed. WHO spokeswoman Margret Harris said Central, South and North America are currently at the center of the epidemic. When the laws of physical distance were relaxed, people understood that the epidemic was over. In fact, the epidemic is not over, the disease cannot be considered as long as there is a single patient in the world. Citing demonstrations in the US, Harris said the protesters should be cautious.

He said that we should express our feelings, but it is also important to protect others. The WHO has advised people to maintain a distance of at least one meter (3 ft) to avoid infection. Also asked to wash hands frequently. At the same time, WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan said that India has a population of 1.3 billion, in such a case more than two lakh cases are seen, but it is also worth considering the fact that it is not too much in terms of population.

It is worth mentioning that there has been an unprecedented rise in the infection of corona virus in India. For the first time on Friday, more than 10 thousand new cases were reported in one day while 334 people have died. India has the highest number of new cases a day after Brazil and the United States. With this, the number of infected people in the country has crossed 2.28 lakh, which is just less than Italy. In the last week alone, more than 60 thousand cases have increased. The number of infected in India has increased to 2,26,770 whereas 6,348 people have died so far.
