WhatsApp has given a big gift to its users. Emoji will come in WhatsApp chat and 32 people will be allowed group voice calls. Know which 3 new facilities are going to be available to the users now.


New Delhi: Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced the addition of guided emoji reactions to its chat app. Whereas up to 32 people are allowed in a group voice call and file sharing has been extended to support files up to 2 GB, which is above the current sharing size of 100 MB.

Emoji reaction feature in WhatsApp chat

WhatsApp will at first allow users to react with six key emoji, but will add more going forward, so people can quickly share their opinions in chats with new messages.


Will Cathcart, head of WhatsApp, said in a tweet late Thursday, “We are excited to announce that Reactions is coming to WhatsApp with all upcoming emoji and skin-tones.” The company also extended file sharing to support files up to 2 gigabytes so that people can easily collaborate on projects.

Now 32 people will be able to call simultaneously

WhatsApp said, “We will introduce one-tap voice calling for up to 32 people with an all-new design for the times when live talking is better than chatting.” Currently, it allows up to eight people on a group voice call.

To further strengthen the Indian digital payments ecosystem, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has approved an additional 60 million users on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for WhatsApp.

With this approval, WhatsApp will now be able to expand the service to 100 million users out of over 400 million users in the country.
