Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers during the festive season, the Railways has started operating the Vande Bharat Special train between Patna and New Delhi.
This semi-high-speed train, which will run commercially from Saturday, will ensure fast, comfortable and safe travel for passengers during Diwali and Chhath Puja. According to railway officials, the aim of this train is to facilitate the travel of passengers returning home during the festivals. The Vande Bharat Special train has been equipped with modern facilities and 20 coaches to accommodate more passengers.

Train Route and Stoppages
The train will stop at six major stations between Patna and New Delhi. The train will stop at Aligarh, Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction in Uttar Pradesh, and Buxar and Ara railway stations in Bihar.
Special Train Operation Details
Train No. 02253 will run from Patna every Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday. Its operation will commence from October 11 and will continue till November 17, 2025. Train No. 02254 will run from New Delhi every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. This train will run between October 12 and November 16. Railway officials stated that both trains will run a total of 33 trips, and that utmost care has been taken to ensure passenger safety and convenience. Passengers will enjoy improved seating, timely service, and a comfortable journey.
