He said that information has been received from the Ministry of Railways that on the instructions of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the new route of Vande Bharat running from Meerut to Lucknow has been decided as Meerut-Lucknow-Ayodhya-Varanasi.
The Ministry of Railways has also admitted that the operation of Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat was not being economically beneficial. Regarding this, a demand was made from his level that if Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat is run via Lucknow-Ayodhya to Varanasi, it will be beneficial. In this way, now the city of revolution is going to be directly connected to Kashi. Dr. Vajpayee said that operations will start from 25-26 August. Soon the time table will also be released.
With the running of this train, it will become very easy to go to the religious cities of Ayodhya and Varanasi from Meerut in western UP. Along with this, one more Vande Bharat train will be available from Varanasi to Ayodhya and Lucknow. Currently, two Vande Bharat trains run from Varanasi to Delhi and one Vande Bharat train to Agra. It is believed that soon the time table of Meerut-Varanasi Vande Bharat train will also be released.
