According to the news of Zee Business, Indian Railways has decided to reduce train ticket prices by 50 percent, but only a few people will benefit from the cheap train ticket price cut. Actually, Northern Railway on Wednesday has decided to provide up to 50 percent relief in train tickets for people traveling in second class.

50 percent cheaper tickets will be available in all trains going towards Kashmir Valley. According to the report of Zee Business, a decision has been taken to reduce train fares in Kashmir Ghats.

How did train tickets become cheaper?

Giving information, Northern Railway officials have said that a decision has been taken to restore normal fare in second class coaches in passenger trains in the valley. Due to restoration of ordinary fare for passengers traveling in second class coach, the ticket price has reduced by 40 to 50 percent.

Relief will be applicable in the entire valley

Earlier the fare from Sadura station (Anantnag district) to Srinagar was Rs 35, but now after this relief it will become Rs 15. Northern Railway officials have said that this relief will be applicable in the entire valley of Kashmir. This will provide great relief to the passengers travelling. Train fares were increased after Covid-19. Railways have currently approved pre-Covid rules in the entire country. This will provide relief to the common man.

Earlier, passengers had to pay express train fare for passenger train travel, but now Indian Railways has restored the ordinary second class fare on passenger trains. From now on the express trains are known as Express Special or MEMU Express trains.
