Train Cancelled News: Millions of people travel by train every day in the country. The railway network is a vital part of people’s lives as it takes them to their destinations every day. However, sometimes due to track repairs or station work, the railways has to cancel some trains and change the routes of many trains.
Something similar is about to happen to passengers of the South Eastern Railway. The railway has decided to begin remodeling work at the Shalimar station yard, which will affect the operation of several trains for the next two weeks. Passengers should check their train status before traveling to avoid any inconvenience.
Several trains cancelled due to Shalimar station yard remodelling
The railway administration has announced that remodeling work will be underway at the Shalimar station yard from November 8th to November 24th. Due to this, several long-distance trains passing through the Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway have been cancelled. A total of 10 express trains will be completely suspended during these dates. The railway has advised passengers to check their train status on the IRCTC website or by calling the railway enquiry number before planning their travel during these times.
These trains were cancelled
- Train No. 18030 Shalimar – Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kurla Express cancelled from 13th to 21st November.
- Train No. 22830 Shalimar – Bhuj Superfast Express cancelled on 08 and 15 November.
- Train No. 22829 Bhuj – Shalimar Superfast Express cancelled on 11th and 18th November.
- Train No. 15022 Gorakhpur – Shalimar Weekly Express cancelled on 10th and 17th November.
- Train No. 15021 Shalimar – Gorakhpur Weekly Express cancelled on 11th and 18th November.
- Train No. 18029 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Shalimar Kurla Express cancelled from 11th to 19th November.
- Train No. 12151 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Shalimar Samrasta Express cancelled on 12th, 13th and 19th November.
- Train No. 12152 Shalimar – Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Samrasta Express cancelled on 14, 15 and 21 November.
- Train No. 20971 Udaipur City – Shalimar Superfast Express cancelled on 15th November.
- Train No. 20972 Shalimar – Udaipur City Superfast Express cancelled on 16th November.
Some trains will run on short routes
For the convenience of passengers, the Railways has decided to run some trains with short terminations and short originations instead of canceling them altogether. This means that these trains will not continue to their intended destinations. Therefore, some trains will originate from a station other than their originating station.
There will be a change in the route of these trains
- Train No. 18049 Shalimar – Badampahar Weekly Express will run from Santragachi to Badampahar on 08, 15 and 22 November.
- Train No. 18050 Badampahar – Shalimar Weekly Express will run up to Santragachi on 09, 16 and 23 November.
- Train No. 12101 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Shalimar Gyaneshwari Express will run up to Santragachi on 18th November.
- Train No. 12102 Shalimar – Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Gyaneshwari Express will run from Santragachi on 20th November.
- Train No. 12905 Porbandar – Shalimar Superfast Express will run up to Santragachi on 19th November.
- Train No. 12906 Shalimar – Porbandar Superfast Express will run from Santragachi on 21st November.
