Actress Soundarya, who won the audience’s hearts with her performance and left an indelible mark on the film screen, falls on 18 July. Soundarya was one of the brilliant actresses of South Cinema. His popularity was such that people used to go mad after seeing his glimpse in the film. Soundarya was compared to Bollywood actress Hema Malini in the South Film Industry. She was called Dream Girl of the South.
Soundarya did more than one film in her short film journey. For which he was awarded with other awards including National Award. Soundarya entered the acting world in 1992 with the film Gandharva. After this he did many brilliant films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. Soundarya had only one Bollywood film in his entire film journey, which is still very much discussed.
Soundarya appeared in the 1999 film Suryavansham opposite Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. His performance in this film made a lot of headlines. In a career of 12 years, Soundarya acted in more than 100 films. Along with being an actress, Soundarya was also a filmmaker. He also received the National Award for Best Feature Film. Soundarya wanted to become a doctor. She was studying MBBS, she dropped out of MBBS because of the offers of films.

Despite being a prolific actress, Soundarya did not marry any filmstar but her childhood friend and software engineer GS Raghu in 2003, but sadly, Soundarya could not live long. He was killed in an aircraft crash. This painful death shook the fans including those close to Soundarya.
Soundarya died in an aircraft crash in 2004. Soundarya was boarding an aircraft to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party and Telugu Desam Party candidates. A four-seater private aircraft flew from Jakkur airfield in Bangalore and crashed as it moved about 100 feet. In the aircraft, Soundarya was accompanied by his brother Amarnath, Hindu Jagran Samiti secretary Ramesh Kadam and pilot Joy Philip. All these people were killed in this accident. At the time when this incident happened, 32-year-old Soundarya was pregnant.
