What is the rule?
As per the rules of the government’s EPF scheme, an employee contributes 12% of basic salary plus DA to his EPF account every month. Not only this, the employer has to contribute equally i.e. 12%. In this way, 24 per cent of the employee’s EPF account gets credited. Of the 24 per cent contribution, the employee’s share (12 per cent) and the employer’s 3.67 per cent goes to the EPF account. The remaining 8.33 per cent goes to the pension plan account.

There are many ways to know the PF balance which are mentioned on the official website of EPF, but the easiest way is the missed call. You can know the PF balance just by making a missed call. For this, you have to make a missed call on 011-22901406 from the registered mobile number in your PF account. After this you will get a message in which you will get information about the PF money in your account.

  • For this, first you have to enter your UAN number, password and captcha by going to EPFO ​​website. After entering this information, you will have an option to manage. After clicking here, you can check your KYC information. 
  • After checking your information, you will have to click on Online Services. Now a drop menu will open in front of you, from where you will have to click on the claim. To submit this claim form, you have to select the option of Proceed For Online Claim.
  • You will also get information about PF via SMS on the registered mobile number. However, to withdraw money online, it is mandatory to have your EPF account linked to Aadhaar. If your Aadhaar is not linked to the EPF account, you will not be able to claim your PF online.
