New Delhi, Vineet Sharan. In this era of corona virus, virtual interviews have increased, while most people are giving interviews in this way for the first time. They do not know how to prepare for it. Therefore, we are giving you the advice of the experts of Virtual Job Interview. With the help of these measures, you can achieve success in virtual interviews.

Fix all settings

Professor Kripashankar of IIT Patna says that to practice virtual interview first, it is very important. In a virtual interview, you have control over what the interviewee can see, so take advantage of this advantage. Experts say that you have to think properly what the interviewee will see. In a physical interview you have to think about what you have to wear and how to sit in the chair, but in a virtual interview you have to think more about the setting. Your background should be something that says something about your personality. So keep any artwork you like in the background or a book that tells about your personality. Also, keep in mind that there is no such thing in the background, which gives attention.

Keep table lamps on even during the day

In a virtual interview, the face appears in two-dimensional, whereas in normal life it is in three-dimension. Hence, a lot of emphasis is given to reading facial expressions in virtual interviews. So it is important to have enough light so that the interviewer can see the warmth and tone of your face. For this, take the help of daylight as well as table lamp. Light a small lamp in front of your desk.

Also keep in mind that the light should come from the side, not from the top.

– If the light is above the head, then your face will come in shadow.

Before the virtual interview, check with a friend or family member whether the light is correct or not.

See your body language in the frame

If your light and background settings are fixed, now check the frame of your camera. It is very important that how you are visually presenting yourself in a virtual interview. Normally when people see us they see the whole body, which has an immediate natural effect. But in the virtual interview, only the head or the upper part is visible, so there is a need to think more intelligently.

Set the frame in such a way that the entire upper part of your body is visible. There should never be a frame just to the neck or head. When the interviewers see your body language, only then will they be impressed by you. Hands are very important for communication. Our hand gestures will tell the front man how decisive and how vocal we are. At the same time, experts recommend wearing navy color or one color clothes. At the same time, we are told not to wear bright colored and patterned clothes.

Practice technique

Before the virtual interview, it is important that we understand how the technology of both the laptop you are using and the platform on which your interview is going to work.

See where the camera is and make sure that the entire eye is connected. Never look downward or right or left. The interviewees want to see your eyes and read you. At the same time, also practice the platform on which the interview is going to take place. Understand all its settings, so that during the interview, you can only focus on your answers.

Create your own atmosphere

Many things are in your hands in a virtual interview. Take advantage of this, as some bullet points can be made, which will make it easier for you to remember or answer things. You can place it on the screen of your laptop, which will not be visible to the interviewer. At the same time, you can also keep a motivational note near the laptop, which will inspire you.

Be mentally prepared

Prepare yourself mentally before the virtual interview. You can go for a walk to relax or normalize yourself with a deep breath. Remember that there is no voice around during the interview. Sit in the chair 10 to 15 minutes before the interview.
