Announcement may be made by the end of this month

The central government may increase the interest rates of small savings schemes on 29th and 30th September. The interest rate offered on Small Savings Scheme is reviewed every three months by the Finance Ministry. In such a situation, this review by the government can be done after June till the last day of September. Earlier, in the review meeting on June 30, the government had increased the interest rates of some Small Savings Scheme (SSY).

No change in interest rates from 2020

For your information, let us tell you that there has been no change in the interest rates of PPF included in small savings schemes since April 2020. In such a situation, it is expected that the government may increase the interest rates of PF during the upcoming review meeting. The interest rates of other small savings schemes have increased earlier also, but there has been no change in the interest rate of PPF since April 2020.
