Why Nominee Registration is Important

The name of the nominee is definitely because if the account holder dies due to any reason, the nominee will have the right over the amount deposited in that account. Whoever registers as a nominee gets full amount. In the absence of a nominee, the account holder’s money remains in the bank. According to an estimate, crores of rupees are deposited in banks in the name of account holders who have died but due to lack of nominee in their account, the victim’s family is not getting the money.
