At present the war between Ukraine and Russia ( Russia-Ukraine War ) is going on. Meanwhile, a report has claimed that since the invasion of Russia , there have been 3 attempts to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky , which he did not allow. The Times says President Zelensky survived at least three assassination attempts in the past week. However, these information about the assassination plan did not dissuade Zelensky. While addressing the people of Ukraine, he admitted that he is the enemy’s ‘target number one’.

According to a report in the Times of London, Zelensky averted his assassination attempt after Russians opposed to the war gave Ukrainian government officials intelligence about the planned attacks. The Times says that some Russian spies did not want to allow President Vladimir Putin’s plan to succeed and because of this they had told the Ukrainian authorities about the plot to assassinate Zelensky and the names of the killers. Ukrainian officials have said some members of Russia’s security service are outraged by the attack and are opposing it.

Mercenaries of the Kremlin-backed Wagner Group and Chechen Special Forces were sent to kill the Ukrainian president. When America offered to evacuate him, he told President Joe Biden that I wanted ammunition, not a ride.

Oleksey Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said he had received the plot to kill Zelensky from the Russian intelligence agency FSB. These are the elements which are against war. Danilov said that it was because of this information that the assassination squad of Chechnya chief Ramzan Kadyrov, close to Putin, was eliminated. Danilov claimed that Russia had sent members of the Wagner Group to Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, 6 weeks ago and that they were tasked with killing 24 high-profile people. Russia had put pressure on everyone to get to know everyone including Zelensky as soon as possible.
