Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday hailed India’s “independent foreign policy” and said it imported crude from Russia despite US sanctions. Khan, a strong critic of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi – led government in India, openly praised Indian foreign policy. Addressing a rally in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Khan said he would appreciate neighboring India as it has an “independent foreign policy”.

The Pakistani Prime Minister said that India is part of the Quad group and it imported crude oil from Russia despite US sanctions. Khan said that his foreign policy will also be in the interest of the Pakistani people. Imran Khan is rallying to garner public support before facing the no-confidence motion in Parliament. Khan said, ‘I will not bow down before anyone and will not allow my country to bow down to anyone.’

On the other hand, the Speaker of the National Assembly in Pakistan Asad Qaiser on Sunday announced to convene a session of the House on March 25 to consider the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. About 100 MPs from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party gave a no-confidence motion to the National Assembly Secretariat on March 8. It has been alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government led by Imran is responsible for the economic crisis and inflation in the country.
