Republic Day will be celebrated across the country on 26 January. Due to the Corona period, this time also some special guidelines have been issued by the Delhi Police. Republic Day celebrations will be organized with strict adherence to these guidelines. Children below 15 years of age are not allowed to participate in the parade without vaccination.


Republic Day will be celebrated with pomp across the country on 26 January. The shadow of the corona epidemic has appeared on special occasions along with all festivals. This is the reason that in the midst of increasing Kovid cases in the country, Delhi Police has issued special guidelines for the parade ceremony to be organized on Republic Day this year also keeping in mind the cases of Corona. According to the guidelines issued by the Delhi Police, people attending the Republic Day parade at Rajpath are required to be fully vaccinated against Kovid. Also, children below the age of 15 years will not be allowed to attend the function.

The effect of the increasing threat of Corona is visible on the Republic Day celebrations this time too. This is the reason why Delhi Police has issued special guidelines. According to these guidelines, it has been made mandatory for people to follow all the Kovid-protocols in the program to be held at Rajpath on 26 January. Like wearing a face mask and maintaining social distance will be necessary. Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has also issued instructions for strict action against any violation of these rules.

This is the guideline issued by Delhi Police

– Blocks will be opened for the visitors to sit at 7 am
– Visitors have been appealed to follow the Corona protocol and take the appointed place
– The visitor should be vaccinated i.e. both doses are mandatory Is.
– It is also mandatory to bring a vaccine certificate
– Children under 15 are not allowed in Republic celebrations – Come by
car pool or taxi due to limited parking
– Remote control car lock key for car pickers Arrangement for keeping will be in every parking
– All are requested to cooperate fully in security check
– Visitors will have to bring valid identity card like Aadhar card, Voter card, Driving license etc. along with their admit card

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana had made it clear a day earlier that this time more than 27,000 personnel have been deployed in the capital for the Republic Day celebrations . Asthana said the total force includes 71 DACs, 213 ACPs, 713 inspectors, Delhi Police commandos, armed battalion officers and jawans and 65 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces.

Asthana said that for the last two months, Delhi Police has been taking strict measures against terrorism in the national capital. This year also we are on full alert. Counter drone technology is being used for air space security. Asthana had said that the security in and around the area where the Republic Day celebrations will take place has also been secured with the help of Delhi Police and other agencies.
