Ration Card New Rules: Know these important rules of ration card, otherwise action can be taken later

According to the conditions, a person having a plot, flat or house of more than 100 square meters, having a four wheeler vehicle or tractor, having an annual income of more than 2 lakhs in the village and 3 lakhs in the cities, such people are entitled to ration scheme. The government has given some special rules regarding the ration card made under the Food Distribution System (PDS). It has been told in the rules which people are eligible for ration card and who are not. It has also been clarified in the rule that if ineligible people are already using ration card by making, then they should surrender it immediately. Otherwise, they will be entitled to action. Government departments have received complaints that during the Corona Pandemic, people who do not come under its purview have also started taking advantage by making ration cards.

In fact, in the lockdown in the Corona epidemic, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana to give ration to the poor people and started distributing free food grains. This scheme is being extended continuously. Apart from rice, wheat and gram, other things are given in this scheme. In order to take advantage of these food items, those people who do not come under this category or are taking ration in spite of the affluent class, by applying fake documents, also got ration cards made. The government has started investigation of such people and their list will be issued.

Action will be taken against such people

The government has said that if ineligible people have got ration cards made, then they should be surrendered. If they do not surrender the card, then legal action can be taken against them. According to the conditions, a person having a plot, flat or house of more than 100 square meters, having a four wheeler vehicle or tractor, having an annual income of more than 2 lakhs in the village and 3 lakhs in the cities, such people are entitled to ration scheme. No and they should surrender the ration card. It is necessary to submit the ration card to the Tehsil or DSO office. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the card and legal action will be taken. Not only this, since the benefit of ration is being taken, it will be recovered from then.

Benefit from ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme

In order to strictly implement the ration card scheme, the government has started the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme. In this, the ration card has been validated anywhere. This scheme is being run in 32 states and union territories of the country. Under this scheme, 86 percent of the population involved in the food security scheme is benefiting.

The working class is getting the most benefit as they often move from their place to another place for work. The ration of these people did not stop, its full benefit is being given in the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme. Now such people are not interested in getting ration at one place.
