The ration card of the beneficiaries found ineligible during the verification will be cancelled. Personal information that changes from time to time
In this regard, the Food and Supply Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh, Markandey Shahi has given instructions to all the District Magistrates and District Supply Officers. In this regard, Additional Food Commissioner Anil Kumar Dubey said that the personal information given by the beneficiaries keeps on changing from time to time. In this regard, complaints are received from time to time about inclusion of ineligible units in ration cards. For the ineligible card holders, the campaign is run under the ‘National Food Security Act 2013’. In place of the ineligible beneficiaries, ration cards are issued to the eligible.

The aim is to remove the ineligible from the list.
He said that the purpose of running such campaigns is to remove the ineligible from the list of beneficiaries and give a chance to the eligible. Based on the information given under this, a database is prepared by collecting the details of number of family members, age, place of residence etc. In this regard, there is a possibility of the card holder being ineligible on the basis of death of the card holders or better financial condition.

Let us tell you that from time to time the verification of ration cards is done by the government. Last days, in the information given by the government in Parliament, it was told that from 2017 to 2021, duplicate, ineligible and fake 2 crore 41 lakh ration cards were canceled in the country. During this, the maximum number of ration cards were canceled in UP itself, about 1.42 crore cards.
