Till May 31, the last date for surrendering ration cards to ineligible ration card holders was extended to June 30.

Food Supplies Minister Rekha Arya while thanking the people said that till now 91 Hajar ration card holders have surrendered their ration cards across the state. The government had appealed to the ineligible people to surrender their ration cards. After this, on the last date 31 May, a large number of ration card holders reached the DSO office to deposit the ration card, after which the government extended its date.

There are more than 22 lakh ration cards in the state, so once again the process of making new ration cards will be expedited. Soon the ration cards of the eligible people will be made. The minister said that ration cards have been surrendered on a large scale in the state, so in the coming days, ration cards will be made from a new level.
