Former cricketer Robin Singh’s car seized, accused of breaking lockdown rules

Chennai. Former India cricketer Robin Singh has been fined Rs 500 for his alleged violation of the lockdown rules and his car has been seized. This former cricketer from Tamil Nadu went to pick up the vegetable from the car and was caught by the police. Police sources said that they have been fined Rs 500. Due to the spread of Corona virus epidemic, the stringent lockdown in Chennai and three nearby districts has been extended till June 30. Under this, people can go within two kilometers around the house for essential and cannot use the vehicle.



Robin Singh’s career

Robin Singh scored 2336 runs in 136 ODIs for India and scored 1 century and 9 half-centuries with his bat. Robin Singh also hit 6997 runs in 137 first class matches at an unmatched average of 46. During this time, 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries were scored with his bat. Robin Singh took 69 wickets in ODIs and 172 in first class.



Robin Singh started coaching only after retirement. Robin Singh became the first coach of India’s Under 19 cricket team. He then took the coaching position of Hong Kong and qualified him for the 2004 Asia Cup. In 2006, Robin Singh became the coach of India A cricket team, where he coached players like Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa. In 2007 and 2008, he became the fielding coach of the Indian cricket team and in the IPL he became the head coach of the Deccan Chargers. He was India’s fielding coach till October 2009 and after that he is associated with Mumbai Indians today as a batting coach. He was also the coach of Khulna Division cricket team in Bangladesh Premier League and he also gave coaching to Uva team of Sri Lanka Premier League. He was also the coach of Barbados Tridents in CPL.
