PRADHAN MANTRI UJJWALA YOJANA ONLINE REGISTRATION 2021

The Ujjwala scheme was launched by Prime Minister Modi on 1 May 2016. The objective of this scheme is to provide free LPG gas connections to the BPL category families of the country. The scheme was launched by the Modi government under the “Clean Fuel Better Life” mission. So far, a large number of women have got the benefit of this scheme.

Presenting the budget for the financial year 2021-22, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to connect 1 crore poor families with free LPG gas connections. So that the women of poor families of the country get rid of cooking on wood, coal. Due to which health will be protected from diseases caused by smoke, as well as cutting of trees and air pollution will be reduced. BENEFITS OF UJJWALA SCHEME

  • Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, a subsidy of Rs 1600 is provided to the families belonging to the below poverty line category of the country to take LPG gas connection.
  • LPG gas connection can be taken in this amount.
  • Option to pay Rs.1600 in installments is provided by Oil & Gas Company for buying gas cylinder stuffing and gas stove.
  • Only female members of the family can apply under the Ujjwala scheme.

UJJWALA SCHEME ELIGIBILITY

  • BPL families will get the benefit of the scheme.
  • Only female members will be eligible to apply.
  • The age of the applicant woman should not be less than 18 years.
  • It is necessary to have a bank account in any bank in the name of the applicant woman.
  • The applicant woman should not have any LPG gas connection in the past.

UJJWALA SCHEME DOCUMENTS DOCUMENTS FOR UJJWALA SCHEME

  • It is mandatory for the applicant family to have a BPL card issued by the Gram Panchayat or Municipality.
  • The applicant should have a BPL ration card in the name of the woman.
  • Self-declaration of belonging to BPL category must be attested by a gazetted officer.
  • The applicant should have any photo ID identity proof like Aadhar card / MNREGA card etc.
  • The name of the applicant female member is required to be registered in the Socio-
  • Economic and Caste Census 2011.

  • To apply for free LPG gas connection under Ujjwala scheme, the female member of the family will have to visit the LPG agency near her.
  • While going to apply, all the family members will have to carry Aadhar card number, photo and all the necessary documents with them.
  • After filling the application form of Ujjwala scheme from the gas agency, it will have to be submitted there.
  • Apart from this, online form can also be downloaded by clicking on the official website link of PM Ujjwala Yojana .
  • After taking the print out of the form, after filling it, all the necessary documents have to be attached. Then the applicant woman will have to submit it by going to her nearest LPG gas agency.
  • After this, after certifying the eligibility of the applicant, the gas connection will be issued by the Oil and Gas Company.
  • The applicant will have to first pay the gas connection money from his own hands. After this, the subsidy amount under the scheme will be transferred to the Jan Dhan bank account of the applicant woman.
