Rs 6000 is available under PM Kisan

Currently, beneficiary farmers get Rs 2,000 in one installment and Rs 6,000 annually under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. When was PM Kisan Yojana started?

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a scheme of the Central Government. This scheme was announced in the interim budget of 2019. The 16th installment of this government scheme is expected to be released between February and March this year. Recently, the government has transferred the 15th installment to the accounts of farmers on 15th November.

Interim budget will be presented on February 1

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the sixth time on 1 February 2024. Nirmala Sitharaman will present the last budget of the second term of the Modi government. The year 2024 will be an election year. For this reason, an interim budget will be presented instead of the full year. The interim budget is presented in an election year so that whoever gets the command to form the government after the elections can prepare the accounts for the remaining months after forming the government.
