This digital payment app has also started testing its decision on small-scale. Any user who will recharge a mobile between Rs 50 and Rs 100 from this app, will have to pay a processing fee of Re 1 and for mobile recharge above Rs 100, a processing fee of Rs 2 will be charged.
Credit card payments will also be charged
PhonePe has also said that users who pay with credit cards through the app will also have to pay a processing fee like other payment apps do. Apart from this app, many billing websites and payment platforms charge a fee, which is also called convenience fee in many places, to process bill payment.
Reason behind this decision
