In the capital Delhi, from 6 am on January 25 to 2 pm on January 26, parking lots of all metro stations will remain closed and there will be a change in metro train services. Due to this change, passengers traveling by metro may have to face some difficulties.

According to the information, there will be a partial reduction in the services of Delhi Metro on January 26 as part of the security measures related to the Republic Day celebrations. Four stations around the Rajpath will remain closed on Wednesday morning – including Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg stations. Apart from this, all parking lots of Metro will remain closed from 6 am on 25 January to 2 pm on 26 January and Line-2 (HUDA City Center – Samaypur Badli), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement on Monday. But on Wednesday there will be a partial reduction in metro service.

DMRC said that all these measures have been taken as per the security instructions received from Delhi Police in view of Republic Day celebrations. According to the statement, the entry and exit at the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan station will remain closed till 12 noon on Wednesday. It said that entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg metro stations will remain closed from 8:45 am to 12 noon on this day.

DMRC said that in view of the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29, there will be no metro service at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan station from 2 pm to 6.30 pm. However, the statement said that during this period, passengers will be allowed to travel from Line-2 to Line-6 ​​(Kashmere Gate-Raja Nahar Singh) and Line-6 ​​to Line-2 (Raja Nahar Singh-Kashmere Gate) at the Central Secretariat station. Metro replacement facility will be given.

27 thousand policemen engaged in security arrangements for two months
