The cases of corona virus in the country are increasing day by day. In such a situation, West Bengal has extended the ban on flights to Kolkata from six cities of Kovid-19 for Kolkata on 15 August. Kolkata Airport gave its information.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport tweeted that the ban on the arrival of flights from six cities- Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Nagpur and Ahmedabad to Kolkata airport has been extended till August 15, 2020. Earlier the airport had said that no passengers from these cities will reach Kolkata by 31 July.
It is known that the West Bengal government has set seven separate days for the month of August for the complete lockdown, so that the pace of Corona virus infection is increasing in the state. For this, the government changed the dates thrice in six hours and finally came to the conclusion that the complete lockdown will be implemented in the state on August 5, 8, 16, 17, 23, 24 and 31 in the month of August.

The opposition parties targeted the Mamata government over the change in dates and said that the government was unable to stop Corona and was only doing appeasement. CPM MLA Sujan Chakraborty attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and asked if it was a government or a circus.

Actually, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced the lockdown dates after holding two separate press conferences. In the first press conference, he said that the lockdown would not be implemented on August 1 due to Eid and on August 15 due to Independence Day, besides lockdown would be implemented every weekend. It was reported that Raksha Bandhan festival is on August 3, which has been made in the official calendar on August 5.

In the second press conference, CM Mamata admitted her mistake and announced new dates for the lockdown. The Chief Minister said that the lockdown would be imposed on nine different days in August. He said that there was no mistake in the government calendar. This was our mistake.
