NPS share will be deducted from salary this month also
The old pension scheme has been implemented for the employees of Himachal Pradesh. However, the share of NPS will be deducted from the salary of the employees of the Electricity Board this month also. Despite the announcement of the Chief Minister, yet the employees of the Electricity Board have not been able to get the benefit of the old pension scheme. Due to non-restoration of old pension, the employees are continuously demanding this from the government.
Service committee meeting is also not scheduled
The meeting of the Service Committee has not yet been fixed for the restoration of the old pension scheme. For organizing the meeting in the Electricity Board Department, by sending a proposal to the Finance Department, there has been a demand to ensure the date. Due to the management, the Electricity Board employees have not been able to get the benefit of the old pension scheme till now. The union alleges that the officers in the Electricity Board are overshadowing the implementation of the royal old pension scheme. The direct disobedience of the order of the Chief Minister continues.
Tell that the old pension scheme will be formally approved in the meeting of the service committee. According to the general secretary of the employees’ union of the board, it is sad that the old pension scheme has not been implemented even after the Chief Minister’s announcement. The Chief Minister has made several announcements regarding OPS but the matter is pending since 5 months.
However, along with rectifying the error in the proposal, a proposal has been prepared and sent back to the government. It will be formally approved in the meeting soon. After this, the old pension scheme will be implemented for the employees as well. It is believed that from this month onwards, the deduction of NPS shares for the employees will stop.
