The Nitish Kumar government of Bihar is preparing to give increased dearness allowance to government employees and pensioners. Employees can get 28 percent Dearness Allowance (DA), increased from 1 July 2021, before 15 August.

In this era of rising inflation amid the Corona period, the Nitish Kumar government of Bihar is preparing to provide relief to the government employees and pensioners of the state. The Nitish government can give increased Dearness Allowance (DA) to all employees and pensioners from July 1, 2021 only in the first two weeks of August. At present, the Finance Department of the Government of Bihar is engaged in finalizing this process.

It is worth noting that whenever dearness allowance will be paid to the state employees by the Bihar government, the arrears of July will also be included in it. However, for this, the approval of the cabinet is needed first, which can be approved in the meeting of the Nitish cabinet to be held in August. The government is likely to give 28 percent dearness allowance to the employees and pensioners on behalf of the state.

It is known that after the announcement of giving 28 percent dearness allowance, the financial burden on the government is also going to increase. It is being said that there will be a direct impact of 2.5 thousand crores on the Bihar government. Let us inform that recently the Narendra Modi government of the Center had decided to give 28 percent dearness allowance to the employees and pensioners, which was to be implemented from July 1. Since then, the exercise to implement in Jharkhand has intensified. Let us tell you that about four lakh employees will get the benefit of increasing this dearness allowance of the government.
