Education News: Chief Minister MK Stalin has made an important announcement for the students of Tamil Nadu. From September 25, 2025, every college-going student will get ₹1,000 per month.
The scheme is open to both boys and girls to reduce the cost of education. Launching the scheme, Stalin said that education is the real measure of the progress of a society.
“We are making it a reality through the Dravidian model,” Stalin said. “This scheme is for both boys and girls. It will provide financial assistance to college students so that they can continue their studies without stress.” According to MK Stalin, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also ready to participate in this initiative.
New Scheme for Students: ₹1,000 per month
The Pudhumai Pen and Tamil Pudhalavan schemes already provide ₹1,000 per month to girls and boys. These are now being extended to the college level. Stalin said the money will help students with books, fees and daily expenses.
Lakhs of students of Tamil Nadu will benefit, and this scheme will also increase the GDP of the state. This scheme will reduce the burden of college fees and expenses. Pudhumai Pen will further empower girls. Students will be able to study without stress and the future of the state will be bright.
