New Rule For Stray Dog: Rules are made to ensure that everything in society runs smoothly. A system is implemented that helps all things run smoothly. However, those who violate these rules or commit wrongdoings, such as theft, murder, etc., are also imprisoned. The police arrest such people, and the court sentences them to jail.

But have you ever heard of a dog being sent to jail or possibly being sent to prison? Probably not, but it’s about to happen that stray dogs will be sent to jail, meaning they’ll be sent to prison just like humans. To achieve this, dog behavior will be monitored at the municipal level. So, let’s find out what this new rule is and where it has been or will be implemented.

What is the new rule and where has it been implemented?

It’s no secret that recently there was a lot of controversy surrounding stray dogs. While the Supreme Court issued its ruling on stray dogs, dog lovers also expressed their opposition to the capture of stray dogs.

Meanwhile, incidents of dogs biting people, leading to deaths, have been reported and continue to emerge. In this context, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has issued a major order regarding stray dogs. This includes provisions ranging from 10 days in jail to life imprisonment. This rule has been implemented immediately in Kareli, Uttar Pradesh.

Such is the provision from punishment to release at the first bite

If a dog bites someone for the first time, it will be kept at the ABC Center for 10 days. The bitten person must provide a medical certificate from a government hospital, upon which the city municipal team will capture the dog and take it to the center. The dog will be monitored and treated there. Furthermore, a microchip will be implanted upon release so that its location and behavior can be monitored.

If you bite for the second time, you will get this punishment

If a dog bites someone a second time without provocation, it will be punished with 10 to 15 days’ imprisonment and will be considered a habitual biter. In such cases, such a dog will be punished with life imprisonment.

In Kareli, Prayagraj, there’s an ABC Center for dogs, where barracks and isolation wards have been created, just like for humans. A dog sentenced to life imprisonment can only be released if someone adopts it and takes full responsibility for it.
