At the same time, a 500 ml bottle will now be available for Rs 9 instead of Rs 10. The Ministry wrote in the post that the companion of every journey, now even more economical.
‘Savings Festival’ begins today

Everyday goods become cheaper
Major companies manufacturing daily essential goods have reduced the prices of their products to pass on the benefits of GST reduction to consumers. As a result, daily essential items like soap, powder, coffee, diapers, biscuits, ghee and oil have become cheaper from Monday. These companies have released a revised list of maximum retail prices of their products including soap, shampoo, baby diapers, toothpaste, razors and after-shave lotion from September 22.
Companies like Amul and Patanjali have also cut prices. With the new rates taking effect today, cars, bikes, and more have also become cheaper. Auto companies have also announced new vehicle prices.
Cigarettes and tobacco become expensive
Earlier this month, the GST Council decided to reduce the GST rate from four to two. Tax rates will now be five and 18 percent, while a special 40 percent rate will apply to luxury products. The new tax rates, except for cigarettes, tobacco, and other related items, took effect on September 22nd.
