NEET-UG re-exam 2026: Following allegations of paper leaks in the previous National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate (UG) 2026 exam, the government and administration are exercising utmost vigilance and precaution. To prevent any such incident, a three-tier security system is being implemented instead of private agencies. This is aimed at preventing malpractices and ensuring transparency in the examination process. Ahead of the NEET UG re-exam scheduled for June 21, the central government has prepared to take the services of the Indian Air Force and the Indian Postal Department.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be held on June 21, 2026. Previously, the NEET UG 2026 exam was scheduled for May 3, 2026. However, the government canceled the exam following allegations of a paper leak. Three-tier security system for exam papers
From the regional centres onwards, the question papers will be transported to the examination centres under a three-layer security cover, which includes:
Central Security Forces

Senior officials of NTA and district administration
Officials said the purpose of this arrangement is to ensure complete safety and prevent any leakage or malfunction.
The exam will be conducted in 552 cities across the country.
The NEET UG exam is conducted in approximately 552 cities in India and 14 international locations. The re-exam, scheduled for June 21st, will be conducted strictly in accordance with the security guidelines already outlined.
The decision was taken after a meeting with the Defense Minister.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh convened a meeting to discuss preparations for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia attended the meeting.
