Google is working on a new accessibility feature for its upcoming new operating system (OS) Android 12. According to tech website XDA Developers, under this new feature, users will be able to control their phones with face expressions. Camera Switch feature, an accessibility service of the Android Accessibility Suite app, supports setting gestures for different controls. For example, the user can detect when he will open his mouth and ask to open the notification. Apart from this, according to the report, users can also go back to the homescreen by raising their eyebrows.

Face gestures can be of many types, including smiling, opening the mouth, and looking left, right and up. Camera actions include going to the homepage, scrolling back, and selecting Forward. Users can also select how sensitive the gesture will be.

This feature will use additional battery The

new feature will require the device’s camera to be turned on, and Android 12-enabled devices will show a status bar indicating that the camera is being used. However, this feature will also use an additional battery.

That is, this feature will drain your phone’s battery quickly. Therefore, the given screenshot shows that users have been advised to keep the device plugged into the power source.

With the help of facial expressions, users will be able to control many smartphone features like scrolling, home page, settings and notifications in the phone. For information, let us tell you that this feature is currently in beta mode, and it is being said that it will prove to be very useful for disabled users.
