Private sector banks are going to change the rules from ATM to credit card, which will come into effect from July 1. ICICI Bank has revised its service charges for some transactions. Charges on ATM transactions
Now if ICICI customers use the ATM of any other bank, then after 3 free transactions, they will have to pay Rs 23 on financial transactions and Rs 8.5 on non-financial transactions. Earlier this charge was Rs 21. 3 free transactions will be available in metro cities and 5 free transactions in small cities.
IMPS transactions
For outward transactions of Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), charges are levied based on the transaction amount. For amounts up to Rs 1,000, the charge is Rs 2.50 per transaction. For transactions above Rs 1,000 and up to Rs 1,00,000, a charge of Rs 5 is applicable. For transactions above Rs 1,00,000 and up to Rs 5,00,000, the charge is Rs 15 per transaction.
Charges on cash withdrawal
Customers get the facility of three free withdrawals every month. Beyond this, a charge of Rs 150 will be levied per transaction. Withdrawals above Rs 1 lakh every month will attract Rs 3.5 per Rs 1,000 or Rs 150, whichever is higher.
Charges on debit card
The annual charge for regular debit card has been fixed at Rs 300. For customers in rural areas, the annual charge is Rs 150. In case of loss or damage of the card, the card fee for replacement will be Rs 300 per card.
ICICI Bank increased the charge on demand draft
If you are a customer of ICICI Bank, then you will now be charged Rs 2 per 1000 on services like cash deposit, check deposit, demand draft and pay order. However, the minimum charge per transaction is Rs 50 and the maximum limit is Rs 15,000.
What changes is HDFC Bank making
If you spend more than Rs 10,000 every month on gaming apps like Dream11, MPL with HDFC Bank credit card, then now you will have to pay an extra charge of 1 percent. This charge will be limited to Rs 4,999 per month. Also, no reward points will be given on these transactions. In third party wallets (like Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge, Ola Money) also, if you deposit more than Rs 10,000 in a month, then a charge of 1% will be levied on it and in this too the fee limit will be up to Rs 4,999 per month.
