Neem G is a big hit; Government to launch e-Scoot and e-Goods Auto

Thiruvananthapuram; Kerala Automobiles Limited, a state-owned enterprise, is all set to launch new electric vehicles after Electric Auto Neem Gee. An e-scooter, an e-goods auto and a five-seater e-rickshaw are being prepared.



The e-scooter, which is equivalent to the current 100cc scooter, is expected to be priced below Rs 75,000. The e-Goods Auto, which can weigh up to 600 kg, will cost less than Rs 3 lakh. The three-seater e-auto is priced at Rs 2.85 lakh while the e-rickshaw is expected to be priced at Rs 2 lakh. The battery capacity is such that it can travel 80-90 km on a single charge. KAL is making a new history in eco-friendly electric vehicle manufacturing.

Kerala’s own electric auto, the Neem G, was launched in November last year. It is expected to sell 500 e-autos a year in Nepal.

In addition to Nepal, talks are underway to export to neighboring countries such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In addition to various dealers in Kerala, Neem Jik has suppliers in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
