Actually, the Railway Board has proposed that the fare of single journey of AC local in Mumbai should be reduced. The Railway Board said that this fare should be fixed on the basis of the fare of the metro train running in Mumbai.

There will be a huge reduction in rent

Let us tell you that if this proposal of the Railway Board is passed, then the people of Mumbai will be charged a fare ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 80 for a single journey in AC. That is, there will be a huge reduction in the rent. Currently, passengers have to pay a fare ranging from Rs 65 to Rs 220 for this. But the fare of season tickets has not been changed in this proposal.

Railway Corporation will issue tender

The Railway Board says that with this decision, there will be a good number of passengers in the AC trains in the peak and non-peak hours and people will also get a lot of convenience in traveling. For this, the Mumbai Railway Development Corporation will also soon float a tender for 238 AC trains. This will provide convenience to both railways and passengers.

25 km – Rs 135 (now), Rs 50 (proposed)
30 km – Rs 175 (now), Rs 60 (proposed)
35 km – Rs 180 (now), Rs 70 (proposed)
40 km – Rs 190 (now), Rs 80 (proposed)
55 km – Rs 205 (now), Rs 80 (proposed)
60 km – Rs 220 (now), Rs 80 (proposed)
