There is big news for the policyholders of Life Insurance Corporation of India ( LIC ), the country’s largest insurance company . A LIC has asked through an advertisement to take necessary steps for timely settlement of claims. The insurance company said that the policyholder should provide bank account details ( NEFT ) for settlement of claims without any hitch. In case of non-availability of bank account, there will be trouble in policy maturity money or claim settlement. Let us tell you that LIC has stopped paying by cheque. The insurance company now directly transfers money to the policyholders’ bank account. In such a situation, link your LIC policy with your bank account. Otherwise the claim money will get stuck.

IPO may open on March 10- The IPO of the country’s largest insurance company Life Insurance (LIC IPO) may open on March 10. The company’s IPO will open on March 10 and may close on March 14. Its issue price could be Rs 2,000-2,100. The government had submitted the draft paper of LIC on 13 February. The government is selling 5 per cent stake in LIC through IPO. 31.6 crore shares will be offered under LIC’s IPO.

  • LIC asks policyholders to check their policy document for maturity date or survival date. Fill the NEFT mandate form by visiting your nearest LIC office. Click on https://licindia.in/Marquee-Links/Download-NEFT-Form.aspx to download the NEFT form.
  • Attach a copy of the canceled check or bank passbook with this form and submit it. After a week your policy will be linked to your bank account. After this any money received from LIC will come directly to your bank account.
  • According to LIC, accurate and secure payments can be made from anywhere without any extra cost. All digital payments are free of any additional charges. For free e-services, one can register on the LIC’s customer portal on the company’s website.
  • Submit the claim release form and policy document. Submit KYC and update residence address, phone-mobile number, e-mail ID etc.

  • Contact your agent/branch with all the requisites for speedy claim settlement. Apart from this, call center service can be called on 022- 6827 6827. Download the LIC mobile app ‘MyLIC’ on your phone or visit licindia.in.
