Ladki Bahin Yojana: Several schemes are being implemented by both state and central governments to improve the economic condition of women. Similarly, in Maharashtra, the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana (Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana) is being implemented. This is one of Maharashtra’s most popular schemes.
A major update has emerged regarding this scheme. There were speculations that the state government might discontinue the Ladki Bahin Yojana. However, former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has now made a significant statement regarding this. During a rally in Pune, Shinde promised the women that the Ladki Bahin Yojana will never be discontinued in Maharashtra.
Under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, eligible women are provided financial assistance of ₹1,500 per month. This is an ambitious scheme of the state government designed to promote women’s economic self-reliance. However, this scheme is currently placing significant financial pressure on the government’s treasury. The government had also laid down some conditions while launching this scheme, but it has come to light that many women have taken advantage of this scheme even though they did not fulfill these conditions.
The Ladki Behen Scheme will not be discontinued – Eknath Shinde
Former Chief Minister and now Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has strongly responded to this criticism from the opposition. During a public meeting, Shinde stated that no matter how many rumors are spread, the Ladki Behen Scheme will not be discontinued. Words matter in politics. Some people use words for political purposes, but we are not publishing mistakes. Our Hindutva does not change its color based on power. Shinde said on this occasion that this is a very big thing. We are not using words for political purposes. On this occasion, Shinde also criticized Uddhav Thackeray.
He said, “Some people have forgotten their ideology in the pursuit of power. But we will uphold the public’s promise and trust.” Overall, while the “Ladki Behen” scheme is currently mired in controversy, the government has expressed its desire to continue it. It has also clarified that the government’s goal is to make the scheme more transparent and ensure that benefits reach women in need after the KYC process.
People are joining Shinde’s Shiv Sena
Regarding the influx of new members, Shinde said, “Why are so many people joining Shiv Sena across Maharashtra? Because this Shiv Sena is moving forward with the ideas of Balasaheb Thackeray. Everyone believes that Shiv Sena stands by its words and stands by them. And that’s why people join us.”
