When does the account become inoperative?

It is to be known that according to the rules of Reserve Bank of India, when there is no transaction in an account for two consecutive years or more, then that account becomes inoperative. That is, these 5.82 crore Jan Dhan accounts are such, in which there has been no transaction for at least 2 years.
