ITR Verification: This is a very important job. But even in this, if you have filed ITR but did not verify it, then it can also be rejected.

The Income Tax Department has asked people to verify ITR. If you have not yet verified your ITR, then you can verify it online. We are telling you the process of online verification.

This is the process of income tax verification

  • To verify the income tax return file, it is necessary to link Aadhaar with PAN.
  • First of all login by visiting the e-filing portal incometax.gov.in.
  • After this you will get the option of e-file on the next page.
  • Here you have to go to the Income Tax Return section and select E Verify Return.
  • After this whatever return you have filed will start appearing.
  • Then click on the e-verify link and select the Verify Return Using Aadhaar OTP option.
  • After doing this, a message will come on your registered mobile number through which you can do the verification.
  • After entering this one time password on the Income Tax Department website, you will click on the submit button and your ITR will be verified.

Verification must be done within 30 days

Without verification, the process of filing income tax return is considered incomplete. The Income Tax Department processes your ITR only after verification. Apart from this, if ITR is not verified then your refund will get stuck. If you do not do the verification then your ITR file will not be considered.
