IRCTC resumes e-Catering service, know how you can order food online or by phone

This e-Catering service of IRCTC has been resumed in more than 200 railway stations. Passengers can order food of their choice under Food on Tracks by downloading IRCTC’s e-Catering app.


The Railways, which has recovered from the long lockdown during Corona, is taking every step very thoughtfully. First few trains were started under unlock, then gradually increased the number of trains. Safety is being taken care of everywhere. The train was started but still bedrolls etc. are not being given. But with the intention of providing food and drink facilities to the passengers during the journey, the Railways is going to start its e-catering service once again.

Railways is again starting e-catering service for passengers at 200 stations through IRCTC. Passengers will have to download IRCTC’s e-catering app to order food on track. In the absence of internet for this online ordering service, passengers can order food by calling 1323.

How to order food through e-catering

You know how you can order food through e-catering while traveling in railways.

First of all visit the official website of IRCTC https://www.ecatering.irctc.co.in/. After this, enter the PNR number given in your ticket. After this, book and order the food items given in the menu.

The passenger can also opt for cash payment for payment while ordering food. Once the food is ordered, the food is delivered at the given seat.
