IRCTC / Indian Railway: South Central Railway has made a big change – passenger trains have been made express and express has been made superfast. The trains which have been made superfast now, see the list….



IRCTC / Indian Railway: The Railways, which is recovering from the Corona epidemic, is now working very fast for substantial improvement in the rail network and trains. South-Central Railway has issued a press release mentioning that the Railways will convert some express trains into superfast express and promote some passenger trains into express trains. Along with these changes, the Railway Department has also prepared a new timetable which includes new trains and changes in timings, routes and terminals.

According to the press release, the changes made have come into effect from October 1 and passengers can check the new status and specifications of their respective trains through the e-ticketing portal of IRCTC website. Apart from this, passengers can also use the National Train Inquiry System (NTES) or can physically contact the station manager of the railway station concerned.

Superfast is made from these express trains 

Train number of 17025/17026 Secunderabad – Manuguru Express is now 02745/02746.

Train number of 17213/17214 Narsapur-Nagarsol Express is now 02713/02714.

Train number of 17605/17606 Kacheguda – Mangaluru Central Express is now 02699/02700.

Train number of 17017/17018 Secunderabad – Rajkot Express is now 02755/02756.

Train number of 17203/17204 Kakinada Town-Bhavnagar Express is now 02699/02700.

Train number of 17037/17038 Secunderabad – Hisar is now 02789/02790.



South-Central Railway has converted a total of 22 passenger trains and has now given them the status of express trains. These include trains running from some major places like Hyderabad Deccan, Aurangabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Raichur.

Apart from this, the average speed of trains has also increased as a total of 673 trains out of total 872 trains under South-Central Indian Railway have been increased with changes in routes and timings. In its statement, Indian Railways has said that changes are also included in the terminals of some trains to ease the travel of passengers.

Indian Railways is working towards making the travel of its passengers safe and easy and is providing all possible help to the tourism industry. Recently, IRCTC had announced the introduction of special trains bound for five north-eastern states and special journeys like Ramayana Yatra under the Dekho Apna Desh initiative.
