In a message sent to employees, the airline said it will give a one-time special bonus equivalent to ‘1.5 months’ basic salary’, according to two sources.

The bonus amount will be distributed as ex-gratia along with the May salary of the employees. IndiGo, which has a domestic market share of over 60 per cent, offers annual bonuses based on the company’s actual operational and financial results.
The airline has remained profitable for five consecutive quarters, and in the three months ending December 2023, its profit after tax more than doubled to Rs 2,998.1 crore.
In 2022-23, the airline’s wages, salaries and bonuses stood at Rs 4,190.294 crore. According to its annual report, it had 33,045 employees at the end of March 2023.
