What are the rules for children?

According to railway rules, if a child aged between 1 to 4 years travels with you, then there will be no need to make reservation in a separate reserved bogie for him. Children below 5 years can travel in the train without a ticket. At the same time, if a child between 5 years to 12 years is traveling with you, then he will have to pay half the ticket. But if you want a separate berth for the child, then you will have to pay the full fare for it.
