Due to this, two trains were canceled on Friday at Bareilly Junction, two at Moradabad Junction and one at Haridwar. Whereas on Saturday, the Begumpura Express was canceled again at the junction. Like on Friday night, on Saturday also the passengers were seen wandering here and there. The passengers created a ruckus on the information about the train that was canceled suddenly. Many passengers kept asking the time of arrival and departure of another train at the inquiry counter, while many created a ruckus by gheraoing the station master’s office.

On coming to know about the matter, the GRP and RPF somehow pacified the people. On the other hand, Begumpura and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi going towards Jammu was canceled late on Friday night. Many passengers going by Begumpura Special remained waiting for the train to go to Jammu on Saturday also. Passengers said that due to the sudden cancellation of the train, the journey got canceled in the middle. Passengers were seen demanding that the train be sent back. At the same time, many passengers created a ruckus regarding less money being paid in ticket refund. Passengers said that they were returned only Rs 130 from Bareilly to Jammu.

Four counters opened late night for refund

After the cancellation of trains at the station, the ticket money was returned to the passengers by opening four counters on the instructions of the Moradabad Divisional Officers to control the crowd of passengers. The money for canceled trains was refunded from 2 pm to 6 am. According to the commercial department, the tickets of 185 passengers of Begumpura and 75 passengers of Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra were canceled. The passengers were paid Rs 87 thousand. The money was refunded to the passengers after deducting the fare made by the passengers from the boarding station to Bareilly Junction. At the same time, passengers were sent in trains like Bagh Express, Padmavat Express, Faizabad Express, Satyagraha and Mahamana Express.

Forces of many police stations were called




After the sudden cancellation of the train late in the night, the passengers started creating ruckus. When the RPF and GRP had less personnel as compared to the passengers, GRP in-charge Inspector Vijay Singh Rana called the police control room and asked for force. On which the police of Subhash Nagar, Cantt and Kotwali reached the junction.
