Indian Railways, IRCTC: Good news for railway passengers! These closed trains will run before Durga Puja

Passengers going to Vaishnodevi will be benefited by running Sealdah-Jammutvi Humsafar Express. Earlier, Railways had decided to run 261 Ganpati special trains.

Indian Railways, IRCTC: In view of the festive season, Indian Railways has started preparations. In this episode, now before Durga Puja, the closed trains passing through Dhanbad in Jharkhand will go. These include Ranchi-Deoghar Intercity, Sealdah-Jammutvi Humsafar Express and Barddhaman-Hatia MEMU.



Passengers going to Vaishnodevi will be benefited by running Sealdah-Jammutvi Humsafar Express. The Barddhaman-Hatiya MEMU was canceled from May after the second wave of the corona epidemic assumed a formidable form. This train started from April. At the same time, the services of the remaining two trains were also stopped due to the second wave of Corona.

Earlier, Railways had decided to run 261 Ganpati special trains. These trains are being run till 20 September 2021. Under this, Central Railway 201 Ganpati special train, Western Railway 42 Ganpati special train and Konkan Rail Corporation Limited 18 Ganpati special trains are included.

In view of the upcoming festive season, it has been decided to start operating some more trains. For festivals like Chhath Puja, Diwali, the frequency of trains has been increased on busy routes and the number of trains has also been increased in order to minimize the hassle of traveling for the passengers.


In view of the third wave of Corona, all the trains are not being operated yet. Along with this, the guidelines made for prevention of Kovid-19 are also being followed for traveling in trains. Passengers have to wear masks and follow social distancing. Along with this, many states are demanding Kovid certificate or Corona RTPCR negative report.
