Indian Railways: Big news! Railways started new facility to buy tickets, passengers will get relief from queuing up

Indian Railways has announced the introduction of digital payment facility by scanning QR codes from mobile apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Freecharge on automatic ticket vending machines for journey tickets, platform tickets and monthly pass renewals on the lines of metro stations.



New Delhi. Passengers are going to get rid of the hassle of waiting in long lines to get tickets at the railway station. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Indian Railways has started a new facility of deducting tickets to get rid of waiting and long lines.

What is the new facility of railway

Indian Railways has announced the introduction of digital payment facility by scanning QR codes from mobile apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Freecharge on automatic ticket vending machines for journey tickets, platform tickets and monthly pass renewals on the lines of metro stations.

Digital transaction facility

In the new facility, passengers will also be able to pay through digital transactions for the facilities available from the automatic ticket vending machine. Passengers can also recharge ATVM smart card through this. Railways has also appealed to the passengers by introducing this special facility. While requesting the passengers, the railways said that more and more passengers should pay through digital mode and get rid of long lines.

This facility has started in the first phase

In the first phase, the new ticketing facility will be started by the railways at select railway stations only. Gradually, passengers of every station in the country will be able to take advantage of this facility. The railways often received complaints related to standing in queues for hours to get tickets. Many times due to this reason the train of the passengers also used to be missed. In view of this problem being faced by the passengers, the Railways has announced to start this special facility.
