An increase of up to 2 paise per kilometer is possible in AC rail ticket fares. At the same time, an increase of up to 1 paisa per kilometer is possible in the fare of non-AC rail tickets.
No change has been made in suburban trains and monthly season tickets. No change is possible in ordinary second class train fares either.
There has been no increase in fares for travel up to 500 km. Rather, there is an increase of only half a paisa per kilometer for a distance of more than 500 km.
