Platform Tickets Rules: Sometimes you have to plan your journey at the last minute. In such a situation, your flight tickets are very expensive and it is difficult to get reservation in the railways.

To avoid this problem, we are going to tell you such a rule of Indian Railways, which will reduce your tension. This rule gives you the option of traveling without reservation. For this, the platform ticket available at the railway station can be of great use to you.

Platform ticket is awesome

According to a special rule of Indian Railways, if you do not have a reservation ticket and you have to travel by train, then you can travel through platform ticket. That is, you just have to buy a platform ticket and your job will be done. Once you board the train, you have to go to the ticket checker and get the ticket made.

Keep these rules in mind

Railway has made this rule to travel on platform ticket. If you are traveling with the platform, then you will have to immediately go and talk to the ticket checker and get the ticket made for your destination. The platform ticket will be the proof of the station from which you have started your journey. Accordingly, TTE will make a ticket for your destination.

Have to pay that much fee

For traveling through Platform Tickets, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 250. At the same time, TTE makes your ticket according to your platform ticket. If you have not got your ticket booked by yourself and you are found without ticket, the ticket checker may charge you a fee for the platform from where the train has started its journey and till where the train will go.

Will the seat be available if the seat is not vacant?

If there is no vacant seat in the train then the ticket checker cannot allot the seat to you but cannot stop you from traveling. If you do not have a reservation, then in such a situation, you can get the ticket deducted by paying the total fare of the journey along with a penalty charge of Rs 250 from the passenger.
