According to the latest data, the number of Jan Dhan accounts has exceeded 42 crores. Of these, 33.23 crore in public sector banks, 7.52 crore in regional rural banks and 1.25 crore in private banks have been opened. The number of women in total Jan Dhan account holders is 23.27 crores.
