IMD Rain Alert: The mood of the weather has changed in many states of the country. It is raining continuously due to the change in the weather. IMD estimates that the period of thunderstorms and rain may continue in many states till May 17. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely in some areas. Apart from this, wind can also blow at a speed of 40 to 70 kilometers per hour.

Rain Alert: The weather has changed in many states of India. The period of thunderstorms and rain continues in the month of May. Warning of strong thunderstorms, hailstorms and rain with lightning has been issued in many states of North-West India including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.

Apart from the north-west areas, the weather is also harsh in many states of North-East India. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely in many other states including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim. IMD has issued an alert.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather has changed due to the western disturbance being active. According to the IMD, the rain may continue in many parts for the next three days i.e. till May 17.

From May 13, winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan. There is also a possibility of rain with thunderstorms. There is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in Himachal Pradesh between May 16 and 17.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the Nicobar Islands on May 12 and 13. Apart from this, light to moderate rain will continue in many areas.

Rains with thunder and lightning are likely to continue in West, Central and South Peninsular India during the next 5 days.

Heavy to very heavy rains with thunder and lightning are likely in Northeast India during the next 5 days.

During 14th to 16th May, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada are likely to experience winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph to 50 kmph.
