Heavy Rain Warning: According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy to very heavy rains are likely over the west coast (Karnataka, Konkan and Goa and Kerala) and adjacent peninsular India during 19 to 25 May, extremely heavy rains over Karnataka on 20 and 21 May and over Konkan on 21 May. While heavy to very heavy rains with thunder and lightning are likely over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 4 days. Hot winds are likely over western Rajasthan during 19-23 May 2025 and over Haryana and eastern Rajasthan during 19-21 May 2025.

Strong winds with speeds reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph are likely over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra during 19-23 May and Marathwada during 19-21 May.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over South Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa during 19-25 May and heavy rainfall is likely over Marathwada during 19-21 May.

Extremely heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Konkan on 21st May.

Widespread moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds of 30-50 kmph is likely over Northeast India during the next 7 days.

Thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds of 40-60 kmph are likely over West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 7 days and over Bihar during 19-21 May.
