IMD issued an alert…There will be torrential rain in these 18 states in the next 12 hours

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that there will be heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 10 and 11. Along with this, heavy rains are also expected in Arunachal Pradesh for these two days.

Not only this, between September 12 and 15, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the entire northeastern region – Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh. During this time, people have been appealed to remain alert and follow the weather related advice.

It will rain in many states including Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh

Heavy rain is expected in eastern Madhya Pradesh on 9th and 10th September. On the other hand, continuous rain is expected in Chhattisgarh from 10th to 13th September. Andaman and Nicobar Islands may also receive rain on 10th and 11th September. Apart from this, heavy rain is also forecast in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from 10th to 14th September. Heavy rain will occur in Bihar and Odisha between 10th and 12th September. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of very heavy rain in Odisha on 11th September and in West Bengal and Sikkim on 10th September.

Weather will deteriorate in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has informed that there will be rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 11, 12 and 15 September, while there will be heavy rain in western Uttar Pradesh on 12 September. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on 13 September. On the other hand, there may be continuous rain in Uttarakhand from 12 to 14 September. The department says that during this time, winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 km/hour in many parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh and there may be drizzle with thunder and lightning.

Heavy rains in Maharashtra and Goa areas

Heavy rains are expected in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada from 13 to 15 September. At the same time, heavy rains will occur in the coastal areas of Konkan and Goa on 14 and 15 September. Apart from this, strong surface winds of 30 to 40 km/h will blow in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema for the next five days. This weather condition in these areas can prove to be challenging for farmers and fishermen.

Clouds will also rain in the states of South India

Tamil Nadu is expected to witness light to moderate rains with thunderstorms and strong winds on September 10 and 11. Kerala, Mahe and South Interior Karnataka will receive rains on September 10. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam may receive continuous rains from September 10 to 13. Telangana is likely to receive heavy rains from September 10 to 14, while North Interior Karnataka will continue to receive heavy rains from September 10 to 15. Also, winds of 30-40 kmph may blow over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema for the next five days.
